Community Workshops & Collaborations

All workshops are led by Sarah Martyn, owner of Exhale. Sarah is a PA Licensed Massage Therapist, Energy worker, body image coach and E-RYT 500 yoga teacher.

At Exhale, we believe wellness should feel approachable, grounding, and genuinely supportive - not intimidating or performative. Sarah loves partnering with local businesses, libraries, wellness spaces, workplaces, and community organizations to offer educational and experiential workshops centered around stress support, nervous system care, authentic yoga, embodiment, and sustainable self-care practices.

Offerings can be adapted for a variety of audiences and settings, and no prior yoga or meditation experience is required. Workshops are designed to be accessible, welcoming, and rooted in practical tools participants can take with them into daily life.

Most workshops are approximately 60 minutes and include both educational discussion and gentle experiential practices, with time for questions and conversation.

Popular Workshops

The Science of Stress & the Practice of Presence

In today’s fast-paced world, many of us are living in a state of stress, day in and day out. This workshop explores what stress actually does within the body and nervous system, why so many people feel stuck in “fight or flight,” and how simple, accessible practices can help us reconnect with calm, clarity, and presence. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of the nervous system along with practical tools they can begin using in daily life right away.

Body Positivity Through the Lens of Authentic Yoga

At its heart, yoga teaches us to cultivate awareness, compassion, balance, and connection - not to pursue perfection or change the shape of our bodies. This workshop explores body image through the lens of authentic yoga philosophy, offering a gentler and more compassionate approach to relating to ourselves. Together, we’ll reflect on the impact of modern wellness and beauty culture while exploring practices that support embodiment, self-awareness, and a more peaceful relationship with the body.

Accessible Practices to Nourish the Nervous System

Nervous system care doesn’t have to involve long routines or complicated wellness practices. This workshop offers simple, accessible tools to help participants feel more grounded, present, and supported in everyday life. Together, we’ll explore the relationship between stress, the body, and the nervous system while practicing realistic techniques such as breath awareness, grounding, sensory support, and mindful pauses that can be woven into even the busiest schedules.

Listening to Your Body in a World That Teaches You Not To

Many of us have been conditioned to override our body’s signals in order to stay productive, keep pushing, or meet external expectations. This workshop invites participants to begin rebuilding trust with their own inner experience through gentle body awareness, nervous system education, and reflective practices. Together, we’ll explore what it means to listen inwardly with curiosity and compassion, and how reconnecting with the body can support greater balance, self-awareness, and well-being.

Yoga Beyond the Stretch

Modern yoga is often presented as a purely physical practice, but traditionally, yoga offers far more than stretching or exercise. This workshop introduces participants to the deeper intention of yoga as a practice of awareness, nervous system support, breath, presence, and connection. Accessible to all experience levels (including complete beginners), this offering creates space to explore yoga in a way that feels grounding, supportive, and free from performance or pressure.
