Coaching with Sarah Martyn

Stress Management • Body Image • Everyday Nourishment

Are you feeling chronically depleted—like there’s never enough time for you?
Do you catch yourself saying, “I just don’t know how to relax”?
Are you tired of feeling uncomfortable and unconfident in your own skin?

If any of this sounds familiar, I invite you to reach out.

In my coaching sessions, I focus on stress management, body image healing, and general wellness support. Whether one area speaks to you or all three, our work together will be deeply personal, practical, and grounded in self-compassion. Learn more about each focus below:

Stress Management

This work is both practical and holistic. We’ll explore the tools of stress management—from nervous system regulation and rest practices to mindset shifts—while also taking a clear-eyed look at your day-to-day life.

Think of your life as a plate: What’s on it? Is it too full? Is everything there truly essential? Together, we’ll find ways to create space—not just for rest, but for what matters most to you.

Body Image Healing

Are you exhausted by the feeling that your worth is tied to a number on the scale or the shape of your body?

The harsh inner critic you hear isn’t your fault. The roots of diet culture run deep, and the multi-billion-dollar industry behind it profits from your self-doubt. Our work will gently untangle those narratives so you can hear and trust your inner voice again.

Together, we’ll focus on:

Rebuilding self-confidence

Feeling at home in your body

Disentangling your identity from appearance

Learning to stop letting others’ opinions dictate your self-worth

This work is rooted in compassion, anti-diet principles, and the belief that your body is not a problem to be fixed.

General Wellness Support

For some, wellness coaching blends both stress and body image work. Others may be drawn to:

Gentle nutrition guidance (from an intuitive, inclusive perspective)

Movement that nourishes, not punishes

Daily rituals that bring a sense of grounding and ease

You’ll never be handed a rigid routine. Instead, we co-create supportive practices that feel like a natural part of your life.

FAQ’s

  • A: So many of us are conditioned to put ourselves last. Together, we’ll reframe how you relate to time and self-worth. That might look like:

Identifying what’s truly essential (and what’s not)

Creating space in your schedule for what nourishes you

Learning to integrate micro-moments of care into your day so that tending to yourself becomes as habitual as brushing your teeth

  • A: If you suspect you’re dealing with anxiety or depression, it’s important to connect with a licensed mental health professional. I’m not a therapist and don’t offer diagnosis or clinical mental health care. That said, many clients find that our work together supports their broader healing—especially in conjunction with therapy. I’m also happy to refer you to trusted providers if needed.

As a yoga teacher, I hold space for emotional experiences without digging into trauma, and I’ll always speak from a framework of mindfulness and yogic wisdom rather than clinical advice.

  • The constant critique, the mental tallying, the sense that your body is a problem to solve—none of that is your fault. It’s the outcome of a culture that profits from our self-doubt.

In coaching, we begin the radical work of stepping out of that loop.

Together, we’ll shift the focus away from changing your body and toward changing your relationship with your body. That means working with tools like mindfulness, nervous system support, body neutrality, and self-compassion—not diets, scales, or shame.

This work is about learning to live from the inside out, so your worth isn’t tied to how you think you look on a given day.

  • A: Yes—with an important distinction. My approach is rooted in Health at Every Size, intuitive eating, and Ayurvedic philosophy. This means we’ll focus on:

    Eating to feel fulfilled—not restricted

    Honoring your body

Incorporating plants and hydration in sustainable, joyful ways

If your needs include nutrition planning or clinical support, I’ll refer you to a licensed dietitian (scope of practice is important!). My role is to support you in reconnecting with your body’s wisdom, without shame or obsession.
